If you want to achieve your dreams, you need to train yourself to have a positive mindset. For most spiritual women entrepreneurs, this doesn’t come naturally. Your brain’s survival mechanism is always on the lookout for danger. It will inherently do more to avoid something negative than to achieve something positive.

Learning how to keep a positive mindset no matter what happens is one of the most important skills you will ever master. It is the ticket to the fulfillment of your dreams.

Here are some reasons why you want to keep a positive mindset.

Makes You Feel Better

Your thoughts affect your emotions and the way you see your life. If you regularly think negative thoughts, you're going to perceive life as a huge struggle. It will be tough for you to do what you want to do. When you think positively, it allows your brain to be open to opportunities and new possibilities. Your life is more fulfilling and joyful.

Can Keep You Healthy

It's well-known that there is a mind-body connection. Your mindset affects your physical body. When you maintain a positive mindset, it can boost your immune system, help you manage stress, and help you sleep better. It can reduce your risk of depression and anxiety, and it can reduce your risk of death from stroke and cardiovascular disease.

Increases Self-Confidence and Success

Maintaining an optimistic attitude will improve your self-esteem. You will be more likely to set goals and know that you can achieve them. You will find yourself taking the actions that are necessary for you to achieve your goals.

All of these are wonderful benefits, but the single most important reason why you want to keep a positive mindset is this:

Everything in the Universe is some form of energy. This includes your thoughts and emotions. Your thoughts and emotions create a vibration around you, and your vibration attracts your circumstances.

Do you get this critical point? Your thoughts and emotions attract matching circumstances into your life.

You can’t hold onto negative thoughts and expect something good to happen. If you want something good to happen, you MUST keep a positive mindset. This is not just a feel-good statement. It is a Universal Law.

No matter what happens in your life, you always have a choice about how you think about it. And how you choose to think about it will determine what happens.

If you’ve spent years thinking negatively, it might not be the easiest thing for you to keep a positive mindset, but you can learn how to do it.

I used to be negative a lot of the time, and it was quite a challenge for me to turn my thinking around to something positive. But I know how important this is, so I learned how to do it, and now it is much easier for me to transform my negative thoughts into positive ones.

You can’t hold onto negative thoughts and expect something good to happen.

10 Tips to Keep a Positive Mindse

1. Practice Gratitude

It is much easier for you to focus on what is wrong with your life rather than what is good about it. But you have so much to be grateful for right now. Take time to appreciate the blessings that you already enjoy. It doesn’t have to be anything major. Sometimes the simplest things can bring you the greatest joy in life.


2. What Do You Want Instead

When you find yourself focusing on what you don’t want, ask yourself, ‘What do I want instead?’ If you’re like most of my students, it is much easier for you to think about what you don’t like. But focusing on what’s wrong is going to keep your thoughts in a negative space. Start focusing on what you would rather have in your life instead.

3. Inspirational Material

You should have a library of inspirational books, music, or videos that you can pull out whenever your mind is down in the dumps. I have a collection of books written by beloved spiritual teachers whose words and ideas always lift my mood.

4. Turn to Friend/Mentor

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to be positive, you can’t do it alone. That’s when you should turn to a supportive friend or mentor who can help you turn your thinking around. I have a dear friend and mentor who I turn to when trying to be positive is more than I can do by myself. She helps me get my thinking back on track. If you feel like you need support, don’t be afraid to reach out for it.

5. Find the Blessing

Ask yourself, “What’s good about this?’ Every situation has the seed of something positive in it. No matter how small it might seem, you can always find a blessing if you search for it.

6. Connect with Your Higher Self

Take time to turn your attention away from the physical world and connect with your Higher Self. This is the place where you are connected to Divine Love and Infinite Power. In this space, it is easier for you to keep a positive mindset and direct the Universe to create what you want.

7. Positive Mindset List

Create a list of things that make you feel good. Do one of the things on your list whenever you are struggling with negativity so it can change your emotions into something positive.

8. Stay Away from Negativity

Avoid being around negative people. Their negativity can contaminate your thinking. Don’t read or listen to the news where they always talk about what’s wrong with the world. It is much harder for you to have a positive mindset when you are being bombarded by negativity.

9. Affirm What You Want

I’m not talking about repeating rote affirmations that you don’t believe. I’m sure you know that doesn’t work very well. I’m talking about affirming what you want the Universal Law to do for you. You speak your word into the law with the knowledge that you have the authority to direct it to manifest what you desire - and it will!

10.Focus on Positive Qualities

It is probably much easier for you to come up with what’s wrong with you than what’s good about you. If you want to keep a positive mindset, then you must get rid of negative self-talk. Beating yourself up isn’t allowed. Instead, focus on your positive qualities. Treat yourself as you would treat a beloved friend or family member.

You are an incredibly powerful spiritual being. Your thoughts don’t have to control you; you need to control your thoughts. Take time throughout your day to keep a positive mindset regarding your goals, dreams, and the things you want to experience in your life.

I know this can be challenging to do, especially when you are dealing with negative circumstances. But you must do it as often as possible if you want things to change. The good thing is that the more often you choose to think positively, the easier it becomes.
